Cooperstown National League vs. American League Chess Set
This extremely rare chess set is a great collectible. It is unused and in its original plastic. The pieces are small figurines of baseball players, measuring about 4" tall each. A variety of players act as chess pieces from the National and American Leagues, including teams like the Boston Red Sox, The Athletics, Detroit Tigers, The Braves, and others. Players featured are Stan Musial, Rogers Hornsby, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Roy Campanella, Babe Ruth, and more. The top lid/chess board comes off to reveal each player nicely organized in the box.
