Corbett v Fitzsimmons Official Full Ticket
Jim Corbett fought Bob Fitzsimmons on March 17, 1897, in Carson City, Nevada. Fitzsimmons knocked Corbett out in the 14th round to win the Heavyweight Championship of the World. The fight was originally scheduled for Dallas, Texas, in 1895, but was postponed. Offered here is a full, unused ticket for the fight in Carson City on March 17, 1897. Originally made for the Dallas venue it was altered and used for the Carson City fight. The original, date, venue and seat location have been removed and replaced with a section, row and seat number for Carson City. The two stubs are firmly attached, print and color remain bold, and it has an ornate back. There are iny creases in three corners, but this is extremely rare. Most of the postponed tickets that have surfaced do not include the new seating locations for Carson City and were not used for the actual fight venue. Measures 2.75x6.5" and guaranteed to pass authentication.
