Crosley Field Turnstile
Opened in 1912, Crosley Field was the site of some of the most unforgettable and infamous moments in the history of the sport. It played host to not only the first night game on May 24, 1935, but also stage for the Black Sox scandal in 1919. Offered is a rare turnstile from the entrance gate that once ushered countless fans into the park, which was rescued from the Reds old home during its demolition. The black iron spinner is topped with a solid brass cap cast with raised text that reads, "H.V. Bright Maker Cleveland, Ohio-No. 1904-Patented Apr. 12 1910" on top. Standing 41" high (with a 42" wingspan), it remains fully functional and is missing only the foot pedal at the bottom. It has been painstakingly cleaned and then repainted its original black color, while the brass cap has been buffed and shined almost to its original state. A real beauty!
