Dempsey-Tunney & Marciano Tickets
Unused full ticket from the historic fight between Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney held at Chicago's Soldier Field on Setember 22, 1927. This ringside seat had a face value of $40 and is mounted and presented in a handsome black frame along with a 9 x 7" photo of the infamous "long count". There are a few minor imperfections on the ticket but none of them measures any bigger than 1/8". Also included is a full, unused ticket from the heavyweight title fight between Rocky Marciano and Roland La Starza on September 24, 1953 at the Polo Grounds in New York. The blue ticket is mounted and framed with a classic 8 x 10" photograph of Marciano in his boxing trunks with his hands taped. The ticket is EX-MT.
