Dick Tiger Ticket Lot (5)
Dick Tiger was born in the poor Biafra section of Nigeria on August 14, 1929. He got a shot at Gene Fullmer and won the WBA Middleweight Title on October 23, 1962. He lost the title only to regain it on October 21, 1965 by outpointing Giardello over 15 rounds. The following year, he would move up to light heavyweight and on December 16, 1966 would outpoint Jose Torres to win that title. He retired in July, 1971 and died five months later in Nigeria. Presented here are five full, unused, on-site tickets featuring Dick Tiger. four of which are authenticated by PSA/DNA including: Tiger-Fullmer (VG-1962), Tiger-Rouse (NM-1967), Tiger-Giardello (NM-1963), and Tiger-Torres (EX-1966). One ticket is VG glued to board, Tiger-Rivera (1964). Great group!
