DiMaggio, Foxx, Feller & Cronin All-Star Game Photograph (PSA Type II)
Vintage photograph capturing Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, Bob Feller, and Joe Cronin seated together in the locker room after a game. While there is no definitive information on the reverse regarding a time or place, the fact that these four players never played on the same team together during the regular season makes it almost certain that this scene occurred following an All-Star Game. All four were members of the American League All-Star team from 1938 to 1941. Since they all appear to be in a jovial mood, we can assume the team won, which narrows it to either the 1939 or 1941 midsummer classic. A New York Yankees Public Relations Department credit stamp appears on the reverse as does a "Harry M. Stevens Inc." stamp. Also on the reverse are numerous editorial notations, including ink notations in which the writer attempts to pinpoint the year in which this image was taken. The photo (10x8") displays a staple hole along the base, light editorial markings on the front, and few light creases. Very Good condition overall. Encapsulated by PSA as Type II Authentic.
