Dixie Walker "Flirtation" Signed Baseball
This scarce single is brilliantly signed for an aunt of a local antique dealer, but not inscribed so. The sweet spot reads "To a Real 'Nice' Girl From a Real 'Nice' Guy." The Warren Giles National League ball was signed by the man most famous for his racial hatred during the Jackie Robinson breaking of the color line. The ball is a 6/10 with a 9/10 signature. Walker died in 1982, before the advent of the mass autograph market and show proliferation, hence the rarity. Comes with nice vintage photo of Dixie with the Dodgers in 1944.
