Dr. Seuss First Edition Collection (45)
By the time he died in 1991 at age 87, Dr. Seuss (aka Theodor Geisel) had written and illustrated 44 children's books, including such all-time favorites as "Green Eggs and Ham" (the third largest selling book in the English language), "Oh, the Places You'll Go," "Fox in Socks" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". His books have been translated into more than 15 languages, and over 200 million copies have found their way into hearts young and old around the world. One of his characters opined that you can read with your eyes shut, and perhaps only the good doctor could make that almost a reality by opening worlds of imagination and wonder with no more than a phrase of delightful, nonsensically inspired rhyme. First-edition Seuss books have been at a premium for years, and so we are honored to present this collection of 45 smile-inducing first-edition Seusses incorporating some of his most famous works, as well as some of his earliest and more obscure. In chronological order, the titles are: "And to Think that I Saw it on Mulberry Street" (1937, GOOD), two copies of "The Kings Stilts" (1939, VG and EX).
