Duke Snider 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers Original Art by Karl Hubenthal - Published in The Sporting News
Originally published in The Sporting News, this pen & ink illustration marvelously depicts the dominance of Duke Snider during his and the Dodgers' runaway 1955 season. Created by Karl Hubenthal, who was the Willard Mullin of the West Coast, this 17x23" masterpiece is entitled "The Duke's Scepter" and has some fingerprints at the edges from handling and staples at the top, but the images are striking and the piece is in EX condition, coming to market from the Sporting News collection sold at auction several years ago.
