Early 1900's Princeton Football Large Stein
Beautiful Laughlin Art China, a pioneering company producing what was arguably the first truly American white china. (12.25" tall). Wonderfully painted scene. Excellent glaze. Features Princeton player apparently about to receive a lateral, possibly before the introduction of the forward pass. Elements of the time depicted on the stein are the helmet-less player and the oblong, nearly round football. Player's vivid colors portray the orange and black stripes of the Princeton Tigers. EXCELLENT condition.
