Early 1900s Coogan's Bluff Polo Grounds Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photo capturing New York Giants fans gathered on Coogan’s Bluff to watch a game. Coogan’s Bluff was a steep promontory that sat above the Polo Grounds and was a frequent venue for fans who either did not want to pay for a seat, or who could not obtain a ticket for sold-out games. Given the size of the crowd shown here, this was either a very important regular-season game or a World Series contest. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption. The photo (6.5x4.5”) displays slightly wavy borders and a small diagonal crease in the lower left corner. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
