Early 1900s Hilltop Park Exterior Photograph (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photo capturing the exterior of Hilltop Park, home of the New York Highlanders from 1903 to 1912. The photo pictures the main gate on the day of a game, with numerous fans entering the ballpark. The signs at the entrance list the cost of a grandstand ticket at 75 cents, and general admission at 50 cents. The name of the ballclub is painted on the roof. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with both pencil and ink notations in identification of the park. The photo (5.25x5”) displays slightly wavy borders, a small piece of tape along the top border, a few pieces of small tape on the reverse (none of the pieces of tape are in repair of any tears), and a few tiny edge and corner tears. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
