Early 1900s Official American and National League Baseballs (2)

Early 1900s Official American and National League Baseballs (2)

Official American and National League balls dating from the early 1900s. 1) Official American League (Johnson) ball dating from the 1913 to 1917 manufacturing. This baseball originates from the personal collection of Dick Hoblitzell, who was a member of the Boston Red Sox between the years 1915 and 1918. The ball displays moderate soiling, small abrasions, and general wear indicative of former game use. In Good to Very Good condition overall. 2) Official National League ball (no league president name on side panel) dating from the 1926-1933 manufacturing period. It appears that this ball once featured several signatures that have since faded beyond legibility, otherwise it displays light soiling and is in Excellent condition.
