Early 1900’s Wall Street Photographs

Early 1900’s Wall Street Photographs

Three classic photos of the Wall Street area from the early 1900’s. The first one, “Custom House & Wall St. Looking West,” is dated 1903. The Custom House was where documents were brought to custom officials by shipping agents. Very clear photo shows people walking down the street and street vendors. Another photo, “Wall St. & Broadway 1903 Looking South” shows people walking on the sidewalks while a trolley makes its way on tracks set in cobblestone. People are slightly out of focus. The last photo is “Broadway, Cortland to Liberty St. Copyright 1906” and shows a bustling street, with trolley, and the signs of the stores are clear as day. All three photos are from Irving Underhill Photography and are 13-1/4 X 10-1/2” and 14-3/4 X 16-3/4” framed. Framed years later. Would make great hangings in a Wall Street or Executive office.
