Early 1910s New York Giants Glass Plate Negative w/Christy Mathewson
Ciirca 1912 New York Giants glass plate negative features what appears to be an informal team shot, with fans filling the stands behind them. Led by the likes of Christy Mathewson and Rube Marquard, the Giants cruised to the National League pennant before falling to the Boston Red Sox in a tightly-contested World Series. Measuring 7x5", this original image was taken by one of the Brown Brothers photographers and now emerges from their massive archive.
