Early 1940's Cincinnati Reds Game Worn Jacket
Once worn by pitcher Junior Thompson during Cincy’s championship years, this very desirable early forties style red and blue satin jacket with matching knit and ribbon trim is one of the finest specimens around. The reverse owns a large “Reds” chenille team logo and the number “39” sits above the left cuff in similar form. Tagging on the collar is from “AJ Spalding & Bros.” and “Thompson” is chain-stitched in white to a red felt nameplate on the inner waistband. The inner lining is lightly toned from age while the outer shell shows nice use.
