Early 1940s Frank Sinatra w/The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra Vintage Signed Photo - "I Made Him An Offer He Can't Refuse"

A great piece of memorabilia from a great era, this photo of Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra is signed by, most notably, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey and several others. Signed during the period of 1940 to 1942, when Frank Sinatra first sang as a hired gun by Dorsey before he became the famous crooner and household name. This photo is also part of movie history, as in the Godfather Vito used violent persuasion to buy out Fontane's ironclad contract with a big bandleader. Well, the character Fontane was based upon Frank Sinatra and the bandleader was Dorsey. After the bandleader declines Vito's first offer to buy out the contract, he orders his personal assassin, Luca Brasi, to place a gun to the man's forehead, telling the bandleader that either his signature or his brains would be on the contract. This promotional card has 13 signatures with the most important, and evident being Dorsey, Sinatra and Stafford, plus other band members. Size of the photo is 5.25x 7" and it has a crease down the left hand side. It comes with a full LOA from JSA. Sinatra and Dorsey signed the front and Jo Stafford signed the back and wrote (girl singer). Overall condition is VG+.
