Early 1940s Mel Ott Game Used Bat (PSA 8)

Early 1940s Mel Ott Game Used Bat (PSA 8)

Offered here is a very rare 500-home run hitter game used bat, wielded by wielded by New York Giants legend Mel Ott - how many of his 511 regular season homers did he hit with this very item? Ott played all of his 22 pro seasons with the Giants, and added four more round-trippers in his three trips to the World Series. Measuring 36" and 37.1 ounces, it matches factory ordering records of Ott from the 1939-43 labeling period, and displays excellent use with a slight crack (professionally repaired), ball and spike marks on the barrel and some grain swelling. The "Melvin Ott" facsimile signature is on the barrel and it comes with LOA from PSA and is graded by them as GU 8. One of the key elements of a 500 home run collection and one of the toughest of all.
