Early 1950s George Senesky Philadelphia Warriors Game Worn Warmup Jacket

Offered is an eye-catching NBA vintage game worn warm-up jacket, worn by George Senesky of the Philadelphia Warriors. Senesky was a college star at Philadelphia's St. Joseph's University, and in his senior season he led the nation in scoring at 23.4 PPG, and he was the 1942-43 Helms Foundation College Basketball Player of the Year. He served in the military during World War II. Then he played guard for the Philadelphia Warriors in the Basketball Association of America and after that for the Warriors when they joined the NBA in 1950-51. Senesky was on the champion Warriors in the BAA's first season, and he coached the Philadelphia Warriors to the NBA championship in 1955-56. The Philadelphia Warriors moved to California in 1962-63 and became the San Francisco Warriors and then the Golden State Warriors. The Syracuse Nationals moved to Philadelphia for the 1963-64 season and became the 76ers. The jacket is a beautiful white satin, with blue and gold trim. Across the back is a rectangular flap that shows "PHILA. WARRIORS" in blue, block letters. The front of the jacket has a working zipper. The visually appealing jacket shows nice use and yet is in good condition. The warm-up jacket is a tangible reminder of the early days in the NBA.
