Early 1950s Pittsburgh Steelers Game Worn Football Sweater (ex-George Samuel Hughes)
Obtained from the daughter of George Samuel Hughes, a two time All Pro for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gorgeous tightly sewn wool sweater sports durene "PITTSBURGH" lettering with wool collar in Steelers colored stripes. Collar sports "King Sportswear Company" tag. Matching durene "81" on sleeves, with inside bottom tag reading, "Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Sport Shop 306-7th Ave, Pittsburg Penn." Size 48, it shows nice wear but is in Excellent condition. From the estate of George Samuel Hughes who was not only a Steeler great but a great American, flying 22 combat missions in the Pacific in WWII.
