Early 1960s Whitey Herzog Game Used Bat

Early 1960s Whitey Herzog Game Used Bat

Before he was a World Series-winning manager, Dorrel "Whitey" Herzog toiled as an outfielder for eight seasons in the major leagues, prompting him to make the classic quip: "baseball has been good to me since I quit trying to play it." From his last season playing with the Detroit Tigers in 1963, Whitey's 34.5" bat shows good use, including rack marks and ball marks, as well as excellent color and stampings. The handle is cracked and has been taped for quite some time. It is a Model M110 with a faded #4 on the knob, indicating his uniform number.
