Early 1980s Johnny Bench Game Used Bat
Fantastic game used bat once belonging to longtime Cincinnati Reds backstop Johnny Bench. Very nice example with Bench traits used between 1980 and end of 1983, in the waning stages of his career. Super use with handle crack, plenty of pine tar, and lots of deep seam marks on the barrel. Bench's number "5" is written in marker on the knob. Louisville Slugger large label model B278 measures 35" and weighs almost 32 ounces. Vintage signed by Bench on the barrel in Red felt tip marker; it was also signed by a few other Reds players but those signatures were professionally removed, with no harm coming to the bat.
