Early Football Jersey
Classic early football jersey probably dating back to the '20s is Kelly green with multiple blue "friction strips" sewn onto the front and sleeves. The center friction strips form a letter "W". Manufactured by O'Shea Knitting Mills of Chicago, the orignal label is still intact inside the collar. A white number 27 is sewn on the back of this long sleeve wool jersey which shows excellent use and multiple team repairs. An early crotch piece is attached with buttons to the bottom of the jersey and extra padding is present inside each arm by the elbows. Classic jersey, brimming with history.
