The architecture of Seattle, Washington is expertly explored in this immaculate set of twenty-seven photographs, each depicting the history and the structure of some of the rainy city’s most prominent landmarks. This black-and-white collection is dated mostly from the early 1930’s with very few alterations. Includes: a beautiful contrast of the corner of University and Fourth at day and at night, the New County Hospital, the Stuart Building, the Henry Building, the White Building, the Cobb Building, Harriman System Depot, the Union Depot, the Seattle Athlete Club, the County-City Building, a wrecked Old Temple of Justice Jail, a glorious shot of the inside of the Moore Theater taken from the back of the stage, the Chamber of Commerce Building, an early sketch of the planned Seattle Times Building and many other classic pieces. These wire photos vary in size though are predominantly 7x9”s and 10x8”s. The overall collection is in EX condition. A great stamp of the beloved city’s history.
