Early UCLA College Basketball Programs with Early John Wooden (8)
Great trove of UCLA basketball programs, plus other college programs. 1) USC versus Oregon State, March 8, 9, 11, 1940. 2) USC at UCLA, March 3, 1950. Played not at the as-yet-to-be-completed Pauley Pavillion, but at "Westwood Men's Gymnasium," (an old throwback gym, before UCLA basketball became big-time, it was known for its pungent aroma as "B.O. Barn"). Has small photo of Johnny Wooden on cover and Boston Celtic great guard Bill Sharman is listed on the USC roster, a forward at 6'2". 3) Santa Clara at UCLA, Jan. 24, 1974, features a very boyish looking Bill Walton, plus Marques Johnson, Dave Meyers, Andre McCarter. 4) USC at California, Jan. 18, 19, 1946. 5) Ohio University at UCLA, Dec. 21, 1973, more Bill Walton. 6) UCLA vs. Santa Clara and USC versus Kentucky, Dec. 5, 1959. Kentucky coached by Adolph Rupp. 7) La Salle versus UCLA and Duquesne versus Dayton, December 29, 1954, at Madison Square Garden, Gola playing for La Salle and Willie Naulls, at 6'6" playing center for UCLA. 8) USC at UCLA, March 5, 1951, (staining). 9) San Francisco versus USC and Utah versus Loyola (California). 10) USC versus UCLA, March 5, 1949. Photo of Johnny Wooden on cover.
