Ebbets Field Light Bulb
Its been over forty-six years since the Brooklyn Dodgers’ beloved Ebbets Field was demolished and we’re still in mourning, for its absence and what that space represents - the hope of a borough, the eternal waiting for “next year” (and that year’s arrival in 1955), and the ghosts of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Sandy Koufax, Duke Snider and Pee Wee Reese, to name a few. From the day the lights went out (and the bulldozers rolled in) on February 23, 1960, we have a massive light bulb from the Dodgers’ old home, used in the lights that were over the field; the first, and probably the last that we will ever see. Over a foot in length, and in EX condition.
