Eddie Giacomin Game Used Goalie Stick
Ed Giacomin spent 19 seasons in professional hockey, much of it with the New York Rangers. A goalie with a combative nature and a wandering style, he endeared himself to thousands of MSG fans. He is one of the most popular Rangers ever, playing 500 of his 609 NHL games for New York. A five time NHL All Star, Giacomin won the Vezina Trophy as the league’s best goalie in 1971, and led the Rangers to the 1972 Stanley Cup Finals. A true legend between the pipes, Giacomin was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987. This Sher-Wood goalie stick is taped at the knob and on the blade. “GIACOMIN E.” and his number “1” are stamped on the stick in black ink. The stick shows good game use with puck marks. The tape on the knob is worn and beginning to fray, and the tape on the blade is worn and has partially come off. There is a good size crack with pieces of the stick missing from the heel of the blade, otherwise the stick is in good shape overall. Giacomin gamers are hard to obtain in any condition
