Eddie Plank Photograph (PSA Type III)

Vintage photograph of pitcher Eddie Plank as a member of the Philadelphia Athletics, circa 1905. Plank is pictured in a windup pose on the sideline prior to a game. This is an early image of Plank, predating the club’s 1910-1913 World Championship dynasty. Plank was one of top pitchers in baseball during the early 1900s, especially between the years 1902 and 1907, when he won 20 or more games in five of those six seasons. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Plank’s name written in pencil. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the A's between the years 1901 and 1908. The photo (4.25x6.5”) remains in Excellent condition. Culled from the Legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type III Authentic.
