Eddie Rommel Knuckle Ball Grip Glass Plate Negative by Charles Conlon
Original 1929 glass plate negative is one in series of pitcher's grips done by famed photographer Charles Conlon. Measuring 4x5", the plate remains sharp and comes with original paper sleeve with Conlon's black fountain pen writing: "Eddie Rommel - Knuckle ball." For obvious reasons, glass plate negatives dating back nearly a century are a challenge to find; this lot and others in this auction bring that era to life. From the noted Brown Brothers collection.
