Effa Manley Signed Handwritten Letter

Effa Manley Signed Handwritten Letter

Effa Manley is the first and ONLY woman ever elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Here is an outstanding handwritten letter signed "Effa M" as was her custom for signing letters to confidants. Letter is dated "Nov 14-75" and it is a wonderful one-page correspondence written on her personal letterhead to noted Negro League historian John Holway about the impending release of his landmark book, "Voices from the great Black Baseball Leagues." Manley's signature on anything, let alone correspondence like this with Negro-Leagues' related content is indeed rare and most desirable. Now that she is in the Hall of Fame the value of this piece will soar. Letter is NRMT and writing and signature are 9/10.
