Elaine Shepard Photograph Collection
1930s and '40s actress Elaine Shepard enjoyed modest success both in film and on stage. However, she was one of the rare performers who also displayed formidable talent as a journalist. After abandoning her acting career, she made a name for herself in print, most notably with her coverage of the Vietnam War. This collection of hundreds shows Shepard associating with numerous important figures such as John F. Kennedy, There are also publicity shots (some duplication) from her acting career and even a couple of nude snapshots. The conditions of the voluminous photos spanning numerous decades varies greatly but many are NRMT.
