Special Deputy Sheriff's badge of the Yankees first African-American player, and the AL’s first black MVP, issued by the police force of Hudson County, New Jersey. The gold badge (2.75") rests in its original black leather fold along with his dual signed ( in blue ballpoint, both are 8/10) identification card marked with his actual thumb print and affixed with his photo. The badge has minor spots of oxidation on the verso but is otherwise EX, while the card, with thumb print and photo, is EX+. Comes with an LOA fom Arlene Howard.
