Honorary badges presented to the Yankees first African-American player, and the AL’s first black MVP, by the police force of Atlantic City, New Jersey. The gold “Special Detective” badge (2”), in its original black leather fold, has minor spots of oxidation on the verso but is otherwise EX. The silver “Special Deputy Sheriff” badge (1 ?”) with painted blue lettering is EX+. Obtained directly from the Howard family.
