After his boxing career concluded, the great champion Emile Griffith stayed on in the sport as a trainer and corner man for several champions. Offered here are two corner jackets worn by Emile Griffith. The first is for his work with James "Bonecrusher" Smith. This is an Everlast, red satin with white trim jacket with Smith's name on the back. Circa 1984-1986. Short sleeved. Soiled, but intact. The second is for Griffith's work with Simon Brown. This white satin, short sleeve jacket has the Franklin name and Brown's name on the back and flags of the USA and Jamaica on the shoulders. Generally clean and intact. A rare offering from Griffith's post-fighting days.
