Enormous Cal Ripken Jr. Original Painting by Arthur K. Miller

Enormous Cal Ripken Jr. Original Painting by Arthur K. Miller

Original mixed media on board artwork of Cal Ripken Jr. by renowned sports artist Arthur K. Miller. Signed by the artist in the lower left hand corner. Miller has also signed the piece on the backing of the frame, where he has included the title of the piece, "Celebrating Cal," along with the year it was produced, "2001." This is one of the finest paintings of Cal Ripken Jr. we have ever seen, notable both for its size (nearly three-feet tall) and Miller's strict attention to detail. The montage pictures two large images of Ripken in the center (batting and fielding), flanked by portrait images of Ripken as he appeared, respectively, during his first and final seasons in the Majors. Arthur K. Miller's work has been exhibited both in the United States and internationally, including a one-man show at the Baseball Hall of Fame that enjoyed a record five-year run. Mint condition. 25.5x35". Framed to total dimensions of 31x41". Please note: the size and/or weight of this lot will necessitate an increased shipping charge.
