Ernest Hemingway Personal Photographs
These vintage photographs came from the collection of one of Hemingway's best friends in Cuba. These were once the personal property of the most influential writer of the 20th century. This collection of 1940s-50s photos captures the life and travels of the legendary, Nobel Prize winning author. Taken all over the world: China, Italy, Florida, and, most of all, Cuba (there is even one with Fidel Castro). Family and friends are present in these pictures as well as famous political figures such as Castro. Some are stamped on the verso by famous photographers like Majoni, John Bryson, Excelsior, & Barcino. There are total of 26 including a series of eight of Spencer Tracy on the set of the film "The Old Man and the" "Sea" with the original "Old Man." Condition is overall VG-EX and of various sizes.
