Great boxing print from a new American master. Signed and fingerprinted by Evander Holyfield and Brent Benger, 792/1200. Benger studied under Don Spaulding, assistant to Norman Rockwell and many of Rockwell's techniques were passed down through Spaulding to Benger. Rockwell's style is evident in the lighting, the bright colors, and the detailed facial expressions of both participants and fans. Holyfield held World Titles as a cruiserweight and a heavyweight. Here, as Holyfield sits on his stool in the corner between rounds, the expressions on all the faces tells a story that the fight is going well for Holyfield. Also in the picture, with his hand on Holyfield's shoulder, is Lou Duva, long-time Holyfield trainer. Excellent find from a painter in the lineage of Rockwell. Framed 33.5x33".
