Exceptional Baseball and Sports Type Card Collection w/1955 Felin's Franks (400+)

There are over 400 cards in this lot. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Great sampling of all manner of sports cards and related, many early to mid 20th century, with a fair number originating from none other than the Jefferson Burdick collection! For those who don’t know, Burdick was a pioneer card collector who invented many of the classifications that still govern our hobby to this day. The provenance of this collection is impeccable – obtained by Lelands from Chris Benjamin, who received much of it from long time hobby enthusiast John Wagner, who in turn received most older material directly from Burdick! Many of the cards presented here have various factors making them key cards. This amazing collection includes: - c. 1880’s Sub Rosa, Virginia Brights (2), Dixie Cigarettes tobacco – Women Baseball Players; - 1907 Cracker Jack Bears postcard – rare! - 1923 Willard Chocolates – Milton Stock; - Bowman football wrong backs; - 1955 Bowman baseball salesman sample with Aaron (cut); - 1967 Topps Baseball Punch-Outs (unpunched); - 1971 Baseball Greatest Moments Gibson; - groups of 1953 Bowman color, 1958 Hires Root Beer, Topps Stand-Ups, 1959 high #’s, Baseball Bucks, Supers, Rub-offs, Scratch-offs, Tattoos, Story Booklets – samples from virtually every issue and clandestine subset ever produced by Topps, including Venezuelan! - Post cereal variation cards (multiple examples), Kahn’s baseball, Bell Brand Dodgers; - Mecca, Hassan Honest Long Cut Cigarettes Champion Athletes and Prize Fighters.
