Exceptional Cuban Baseball Magazines

Exceptional Cuban Baseball Magazines

First-rate collection of amazingly hard to find Cuban baseball magazines/cover photo montages from the '40s lionizing players and teams of the Cuban league, including Negro league stalwarts wintering in the country. Magazines are filled with great photos of native idols like Adolfo Luque, Bobby Avila and the peerless Martin Dihigo and blackball headliners like Lenny Pearson and Hank Kimbro, though a couple are misspelled, with Terris McDuffie as "Macduffie" and Monte Irvin (on a cover devoted exclusively to him) as "Irving." Around 20 magazines/covers in all, large-sized (9 x 12"), with some covers are autographed by the Cuban players pictured. Condition of magazines generally VG.
