Exceptional Kenesaw Mountain Landis Photograph on Metal
A simply incredible piece that we have not seen before and never will again. Obviously made for the famed baseball commissioner, this was not a commercial piece. It is an actual photograph on metal, perhaps steel, and is quite heavy. The piece in original art-deco wood frame is marvelous in detail and dates from the recently passed Black Sox scandal. It features Landis' familiar floppy hairstyle, high baroque collar and piercing eyes that demanded respect. Overall measures 15x12" with some minor scratches, and has a heavy chromed metal easel back.
