Extremely Rare 1916 BF2 Ferguson Bakery Large Photo Prize Pennant Jack Barry
Offered is an extremely rare very large BF2 Ferguson Bakery pennant, which were issued as premiums with Ferguson Bakery products. These 23 inch tall pennants are far more rare and less known within the hobby, than the more standard 5.5" tall pennants. The large pennants were available as special premiums with one pennant available in exchange for fifty coupons from Ferguson Bakery loaves of bread. Presented is a very rarely offered gigantic BF2 display pennant featuring Jack Barry of the Boston Red Sox, one of ten different subjects known. The pennant displays very well, with the actual player photo exhibiting several creases and the pennant's white applique having the usual crazing wear, and the usual pinholes and stress along the bottom tip. Despite an excellent display quality, the technical grade would be somewhat lower in scale. However, the rarity of this piece far outweighs the technical grade as we have only seen a couple examples of the Barry pennant ever available at auction.
