A sight that played out 660 times in the big leagues -- Willie Mays being greeted at home plate after putting a ball over a wall -- was repeated more than a few times in the Puerto Rican Winter League, though this may be the only time it was ever captured by a camera. The marvelous photo shows Willie in his Santurce Cangrejeros (Crabs) uniform cooly extending his hand to a teammate. Amazing quality photo with an unusual sepia tone, NRMT and on heavy stock.
