Famed American Sports Writer, Bob Broeg's Typewriter

Famed American Sports Writer, Bob Broeg's Typewriter

Wonderful, vintage typewriter from National Baseball Hall of Fame sportswriter, Bob Broeg, who covered the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team for over 40 years. Broeg wrote for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and many other publications. Broeg's writing helped to give Stan Musial his famous nickname of "Stan the Man." Broeg covered many sports and was known for the humanity of his columns. The typewriter is small, measuring at 10x14x10," and this small size was an advantage for writers who had to transport this essential tool of their trade into many difficult locations. On typewriter it reads, "Oliver Number 5, Standard Visable Writer."
