Famed Muhammad Ali Signed Portrait
Stunning visual by Yousef Karsh, one of the great commercial portrait photographers of the 1970s. He was famous for the similar portrait he also did of Joe DiMaggio, which was also part of a sports series he released. Type I, it measures a regal 26.5x22.25" and is beautifully framed to larger. Silver paint pen signature. Depicts Muhammad Ali in his true dignity, but also shows Ali with hands on hips, an aggressive pose rarely seen in portrait photographs. And yet Ali was a great, straight-faced kidder. As his eyes glance to his left, is Ali stifling a playful smile? Karsh has captured a moment of fascinating mystery.
