Famous Photo of Mickey Mantle and Joe Dimaggio (1951)

Famous Photo of Mickey Mantle and Joe Dimaggio (1951)

"Which one needs no introduction" is the now ironic headline of this well known photo. The caption of course is referring to the Yankee Clipper as the one who needs no intro, as he is standing next to then relatively unknown rookie Mickey Mantle the day after his debut with the Bombers in 1951. The caption goes on to speculate as to whether Mantle will go on to duplicate DiMaggio's success. How prescient this speculation turned out to be! Photo measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" and has been trimmed. It is in EX plus condition noting the trimming.
