Fantastic 1950‚s Exhibit 1 Cent Vending Machine with Point of Display Mantle Insert
Fantastic original Exhibit Supply Co. vending machine from the 1950‚s. A rarely seen item and getting even harder to come by. This example has a wooden casing with two dispensers and a double sided glass display with a separate point of display area. The machine measures 6‚ high by 20" wide by 10" deep. The machine comes with the original point of display sign made of proof paper rather than cardboard which includes Mantle, Lopat, and Mitchell and reads "Insert coin-Push slide in-Pull out slowly and receive card" The Exhibit Supply Co. Chicago. The machine also comes with cards of: Feller, Boudreau, DiMaggio, Spahn, Layne, Waterfield, Baugh, Conerly, Bobby Riggs (tennis), Jimmy Carter (boxing), Gorgeous George (wrestling), and Lou Thesz (wrestling) behind upper display glass. The machine is missing its upper back cover which hid the upper glass display panel. Also, only one card dispenser is in working order and no keys are present. A rare and unusual collection centerpiece.
