Fantastic Jack Johnson and Honus Wagner Glass Plate Negative
Original glass plate negative of the famous image featuring boxing legend Jack Johnson and Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Famer Honus Wagner. This is the actual, one of a kind, from the camera negative from the 1930s, during which Wagner was a coach for the Pirates and Johnson was long since retired from boxing. Measuring 5x4", this is the only time the two prime subjects were ever photographed together, and the third person in the foreground is Al Gainer, a noted light-heavyweight boxer of the 1930s. Icons of boxing and baseball combine to make this a powerhouse offering.
