Fenway Park Green Monster Door

Fenway Park Green Monster Door

When someone came knocking on this door, it was usually at full speed. It’s the door to Fenway’s Green Monster leftfield wall, removed during renovations from the 70’s. Stories have been told through the years about “monsters” living inside that famous wall, but we assume the door was used by guys who hung those big numbers on the scoreboard. The sturdy metal door is painted Fenway Park green and measures approximately 22 x 69” and shows great use, no doubt from line drives over the head of Manny Ramirez. A noticeable hole where the doorknob once was is apparent as are the place where the hinges once were. A white stripe adorns one side of the door with some small areas of rust near the hinges and knob. Overall, this piece of Red Sox history is in great shape.
