We offer here a pair of fight-size boxing gloves used by Floyd Patterson in both training and exhibitions while he was world heavyweight champion. These are 8 ounce, black leather with red trim at the thumb boxing gloves and include original white laces. Stamped inside the wrist, Medium 8 ounce. Signed on backhand in marker by Floyd Patterson. Manufacturer’s label at each wrist for TUF-WEAR of New York. The manufacturer’s label dates these gloves to pre-1962. They are the size and weight Patterson would have used in the many exhibitions he appeared in as world champion. Letters from a member of the Patterson family and from Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc.
