Flub-A-Dub Howdy Doody Marionette in Original Box

Whimsical Flub-A-Dub marionette produced by Peter Puppet Playthings Inc. Flub-A-Dub was a character on the ultra popular Howdy Doody children‚s show which ran from 1947-1960. Flub-A-Dub was a combination of eight animals: a duck, a cat, a spaniel, an elephant, a pig, a seal, a dachshund, and a giraffe. The marionette offered here measures 11" laying and is made of painted wood with cloth clothing and body with felt "feet" and "ears." The piece has a movable mouth and eyes when used as a marionette and was designed by Raye Copeland. It comes with its original colorful box. The toy is in Excellent condition while the box grades Very Good with some light creasing and slight tears.
